Away Days – Hartford City FC

Game Day

Where to get tickets

Tickets are available for purchase on the day of the game at the gate

Seating is general admission

How to get there

By car

Driving directions to Dillon Stadium are available here.

By Train

Amtrak (via NYC) or CT Rail Hartford Line (via New Haven (Metro-North)) into Hartford Union Station. This will require a cab/ride-share or a long 1.5+ mile walk to get to the stadium.

By plane

Bradley International Airport is north of Hartford, CT. Bus service is available to downtown Hartford via the 30 Bradley Flyer bus (~30-40 minute ride) which terminates about a mile from the stadium.

If for some reason you are a private pilot or plan to charter a plane to the game, Hartford–Brainard Airport is a mile south of the stadium and is open to general aviation traffic

Where to park

Parking is available across from the stadium on Huyshope Ave. This lot allows tailgating.

Where to sit

The Dutch Guard takes the front of the last 2 sections on the far side of the field.

The entire far side of the field is designated for away fans. This is the best spot to sit to be with fellow Stockade FC fans. The entire stadium is general admission and most areas are bleacher seating. Sections 4, 5, and 6 in the home stand have chairback seats.

It is best to avoid section 3 on the home side. While Agents of Hale may be fun to tailgate with, they’re a passionate bunch when in the stands.

Facilities

Food

Food and drink are usually for sale at the building near the gate.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are on both sides of the building near the gate.

Fun Facts

  • Hartford’s logo is based on the dome atop of the Colt Armory building just north of the stadium. The dome can be seen from within the stadium but is best seen while driving in on Huyshope Ave. The team’s nickname also comes from this building.
  • The team was originally founded as an arena soccer team with intentions to field a team in the now-defunct NASL.

Supporters Culture

Hartford City is supported by the Agents of Hale. Originally founded to support the MASL/NASL team coming into the area, the group would find its form in 2017 when Hartford City joined the NPSL. Through many different homes, the Agents have remained loyal to the club and currently find their home in section 3 at Dillon Stadium.

The Wooden Shoe is the rivalry cup between Stockade FC and Hartford City, run by both clubs’ supporters groups.
